Eureka!!! From all indications, the concept of joining the MLKHP Family & Friends Program is catching on!! We had a successful day of service in Vallejo today. We signed up many more new participants, as well as distributed cards to those who have already enrolled!! Next week we will go LIVE, so to speak, as we will initiate the program with everything that comes with it, especially rules! We our do excited to get our friends involved and invested more in themselves. It’s hard to focus on “B” when you’re just trying to get through “A”. However, we are emphasizing the need to multitask, and work both on their situations and themselves. The two certainly go hand in hand! 😉 Today was extremely tough in our hearts, because one of the families we help, is really struggling. They have two baby girls, and they need so much, especially clothing. Now this family does everything we ask, or as much as possible since they depend on wi-fi to operate their phones, and they stay in touch. We they reached out this morning, and we met them while we were out. And like every time we see them, those baby girls are always excited, because they know that they are about to get a meal, and a whole lot of love, plus the toys we give out from time to time don’t hurt either. Anyway, we are asking anyone who is interested in donating clothes to these babies to please contact us ASAP!! Thank you!! All in all it was a beautiful day, and I can’t wait to see how beautiful tomorrow will be!! So see y’all next week in the streets of Vallejo, Peace, and May God continue to Bless Us All!! ✌🏾🙏🏾 “SOMETIMES GOD BLESSES OTHERS THROUGH US!!”🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 #ONELOVE❤️✊🏾🖤✊🏼💚✊🏻💛

Well it was a much better day weather wise than this past Saturday. We had to reschedule for today due in large part to the persistent rainfall Saturday. Well today, it was a bit chilly, but much more suitable for effectively getting out to help our friends. It was a bit quiet, which can be good or bad, but we’ll just keep it positive and hope all is well with all those we did not see out today. We did however see a bunch of pups out today. Pups who were very fortuitous, because they received new blankets donated to Outpaw Outreach (aka MLK Pet Program) by a local Girl Scout troop, and they were wonderful. Thank you young ladies!! It’s a bit awkward, because we haven’t been out on a weekday in quite some time, and it poses new questions regarding the days we will or should consider be going out. Anyway, all in all it was a great day of service in Vallejo, and we successfully distributed 100 sack lunches, socks, and toiletry bag to all of our friends in need. We will be out next week on Saturday or Monday, but we are once again working with an uncertain schedule! We will certainly inform you in due time. Until then, Peace, and May God continue to Bless Us All!✌🏾🙏🏾 Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram! #ONELOVE❤️✊🏾🖤✊🏼💚✊🏻💛 424EVR It was an absolutely successful day. We were able to sign up more people for the Family & Friends Program, as well as distributing cards to people who had signed up previously! We headed out with 120 sack lunches, toiletries, blankets, pet products, and much more, however we started today’s lunch run by delivering a family package to a young mother and her daughter. Afterwards we began our route in a different, yet consistent location, and from the beginning we ran across so many people, and so many new faces, including furry ones. Now that we have reached an agreement with Outpaw Outreach to become an official entity if the MLKHP, we have since begun to tighten up our program by having liability waiver forms for pet owners to sign, whenever they may need some over the counter pet meds for their pets. This eliminates any problems in the future that may arise should our furry friends have any adverse effects from any medication we have given to their owners. We have seen the need to begin a serious push for more fundraising, and that will be our next focus because we have many potential projects on the drawing board that will require proper and sustainable funding. That’s why we are pleased to announce that we are the proud beneficiaries of the VALLEJO PRIDE MASQUERADE BALL, to be held on Friday June 21st, 2019. We are very excited about the prospect of future charitable endeavors with VALLEJO PRIDE and other viable and important community organizations and local businesses. https://g.co/kgs/iAUGLr Last but not least, we ask that you consider donating to our cause by checking out our list of most needed items, or most importantly, WAYS TO DONATE! 🤗 With that, we will sign off for this weekend by wishing all of the wonderful moms out there, a HAPPY MOTHERS DAY tomorrow!! So Peace, and May God continue to Bless Us All!! ✌🏾🙏🏾 It was another beautiful day of service in Vallejo. The whole team was on deck, and we hit the streets running! So many wonderful stories of progress and hope for better days. It was a bit quiet to start, but towards midday, we began to see lots more faces, including children. Today everyone received a sack lunch, fruit, a water (drink packet included), a pairof black Bombas Socks, and a toiletry bag. Along with our friends, we also saw lots of loyal furry friends, who also enjoyed a little MLKHP style TLC!! 😉 With the assistance of our friend and teammate Moira and my wife Kerchinia, many of our friends saw their pets receiving new collars and leashes, to accompany the hearty dog food packages. ( Poop bags included!!) To make great day even greater, we also heard three absolutely great stories including, our friend Jen in the above video showing the moment that we found out that she just got a vehicle upgrade! Or our young family of four, who were thankfully able to purchase an RV, so now their enjoying the price of mind it brings just knowing that their girls are a bit safer than before. Or even our friend Robert, who we hadn’t seen in months, which left us fearing the worst, only to see him out fishing in the Marina. Overjoyed to see him, we embraced, and then he let us know that he has been gainfully employed and doing much better. He even take a few minutes to lend us a hand. Positive growth is a wonderful thing to see. Not to be forgotten, our other wonderful team members, Melissa and Becky, we were also busy distributing membership cards for the Family & Friends Program, as well as gathering information for future members. In addition, Melissa brought donuts (It’s her birthday 🎂), and we through in some Sunny D for a nice morning snack, before our friends enjoyed their sack lunches later. All in all, it was a great day for so many reasons, but none more than the fact that our friends are really making possible changes in their lives, and consequently seeing growth within themselves and in their lives! We will be out next Saturday, and until then, always remember to tell the ones you love that you love them before you can’t! Always remember to be kind to others!! Peace, and May God continue to Bless Us All!! ✌🏾🙏🏾 P.S. To date the MLK Humanity Project has served 12,013 sack lunch lunches, homemade meals, hot and cold cereal breakfasts, and family packages throughout the Vallejo area. It is our profound commitment to continue to help those who want to help themselves and those who unfortunately no longer can.
