Yesterday was another amazing day of truth and circumstance meeting up with the challenges that come with homelessness. We found out that one of our friends was killed while riding his bicycle, as we learned that another friend was going to start a new job. Despite the pitfalls, many of our friends are working towards avoiding them and realizing the importance of urgency, because it’s getting rough out there. All in all it would prove to be a day of revelations on so many levels. We felt that yesterday left us better connected with our friends, and it encourages us to continue our efforts to empower others to empower themselves!! So we’re gonna see y’all next week in the streets of Vallejo!! ✌🏾🙏🏾

Today was quite the day service, messages, and making moves to grow as an organization dedicated to empowering others. With many potentially new partnerships in the works, today we worked to build one with Dr. Emily Fisher and her team. We hope to provide access to medical advice and services from here in out. As usual we saw many old friends, and as we have consistently seen, we made many new friends to go with the new faces. With our 100 sack lunches, Bombas Socks, toiletries bags from Project Blessing Bags, Pee products, and do much more, we went out to ease the burden of homelessness if only for a moment, but with the hopes of finding permanent solutions. So with that being said, we will certainly see you in the streets of Vallejo next Saturday morning!!
This weekend was a bit of an oddity, in the sense that the 1st of the month is falling on a Sunday, and then the following Monday is Labor Day! The issue that these oddly timed dates cause, is the fact that many of our friends will not have access to financial assistance until Tuesday, or even Wednesday. Knowing tgst, we prepared to do something that was both nice and necessary for our friends, so in addition to taking out 100 sack lunches, we also went out with 70 hit, chicken, sausage, and rice dinners. The extra treat was a hit, but more importantly it provided an additional meal for our friends, allowing them save their lunches for later on in the day. With many stories of personal achievements coming from so many of our friends. We have seen a shift in attitudes, and now we see that many of our friends are getting tired of their situations enough to begin to change their approach to their lives. It’s very inspiring and will only serve as additional motivation for us to stay the course. Anyway, with the holiday coming tomorrow, we hope you and yours have a wonderful day going whatever brings y’all joy. Do always remember to tell the ones you love that you love them before you can’t!! Always remember to be kind to others!! See you in the streets of Vallejo next week!! Peace and God Bless!! This past Saturday was one of the more inspiring days we’ve had, or at least in my humble opinion it was. Every now and then, we are able to do something extra for our friends, and this weekend we did just that. With our usual haul of 100 sack lunches, we took out an additional 70 chicken, sausage (turkey), and rice dishes, complete with sautéed bell peppers and yellow onion. It was indeed a treat to serve and equally as mouth of a treat fir our friends to enjoy. With this past weekend being an awkwardly timed one, so to speak, due to the 1st of the month falling on a Sunday, just to have Monday be a holiday. With this being the case, our friends, most of them, won’t receive any financial assistance until Tuesday. Knowing that, we made sure to take extra toiletries and food to offer some relief until they receive any assistance from recurring sources, other than ourselves and groups like ours.
The day was filled with pleasant surprises, including but not limited to our friend surprising us with his news of personal progress he’s been making in his life. From a bike to get to and from, to now owning a car to help him even further in his pursuit for full self reliance. Another friend told me of his plans to get some help to address his issues, so that he may one day help us do what we do. We ran into a young mother, who is doing it! She has been working hard to take care of her family, and after having to make some serious decisions, she is in her way to getting her and her children a place of their own. These stories and others like them, were all we heard Saturday. It seems as if the reality of how bad it’s getting out there, is beginning to resonate with our friends, so much do that people are ready to face their demons, their fears, and their obstacles, in an effort to better themselves and their lives! We will continue to support our friends, and offer them the love and kindness, we all deserve, and that we all need to live happy, productive lives!! So with that, always tell the ones you love that you love them before you can’t!! Always remember to be kind to others!! Peace and God Bless!! See you in the streets of Vallejo next week!!
