For the entire months of August and September we pretty much watched the ever changing landscape of faces and locations throughout the city of Vallejo shift from week to week. There were no major changes to our program other than the addition of a new route location at 37 and Sacramento, where we found roughly 20+ individuals living. This caused us to add other items more regularly to our lineup of lunches, including but not limited to fiesta rice & beans and ramen noodle cups. At some point we hope to resume our Healthy Start Breakfast Program. We have had many requests for it to resume, however having started back to work, both my wife and I have found our time to do so a highly improbable task. Once our schedules permit, we will certainly resume that particular program, providing hot cinnamon raisin oatmeal or egg and cheese wraps for hot items and cold cereal with milk for a cold option. Along with hot coffee and tea, it was a very favored program. Anyway, the past 2 months have been a lesson in time management to say the least, but a lesson worth learning nonetheless. Heading into October we are anxious, because our October 2nd outing will mark our unofficial 4 year anniversary as a community service organization. The official date is 10/17/2017! So as we head into October, we hope you will do your part to make your community and ultimately this world a better place!!
