This weekend was a bit of an oddity, in the sense that the 1st of the month is falling on a Sunday, and then the following Monday is Labor Day! The issue that these oddly timed dates cause, is the fact that many of our friends will not have access to financial assistance until Tuesday, or even Wednesday. Knowing tgst, we prepared to do something that was both nice and necessary for our friends, so in addition to taking out 100 sack lunches, we also went out with 70 hit, chicken, sausage, and rice dinners. The extra treat was a hit, but more importantly it provided an additional meal for our friends, allowing them save their lunches for later on in the day. With many stories of personal achievements coming from so many of our friends. We have seen a shift in attitudes, and now we see that many of our friends are getting tired of their situations enough to begin to change their approach to their lives. It’s very inspiring and will only serve as additional motivation for us to stay the course. Anyway, with the holiday coming tomorrow, we hope you and yours have a wonderful day going whatever brings y’all joy. Do always remember to tell the ones you love that you love them before you can’t!! Always remember to be kind to others!! See you in the streets of Vallejo next week!! Peace and God Bless!!
