Well it was the end of the month, and it was extra busy, but that was to be expected. We saw lots of new faces, as well as new encampments which are deeply entrenched in the brush areas around the city of Vallejo. It’s becoming a challenge to keep our friends hopeful, because the resources simply aren’t there in the ways they need to be. We were able to run our program effectively yesterday, however we will have to up the meal count, due to a consistent rise in numbers of faces, mostly transient. We were able to sign up a lot of people for our program and it will serve to give us the information needed to be best prepared for the lunch runs on Saturdays. We will be actively seeking support in the form of donations, both financial and products, and volunteerism. Until then, we will certainly stay the course, as we try our best to send a message that resonates with our friends, because it’s only getting worse, and we can’t stand by and just let it happen. So see you in the streets of Vallejo next week!
