This Saturday was another step towards incorporating important services into the construct of our project. We were joined by Kaiser doctor Emily Fisher and her associate, Dr. Matt Symkowick, in an effort to introduce them to our friends. The goal is to establish relationships with medical professionals with many who are apprehensive to seek help because of a lack of resources or a heightened state of paranoia for many other reasons. It would appear that our friends will be willing to participate in any program we set up with the doctors. The program would be designed to help serve their basic medical needs and to answer any questions they may have concerning treatment options and ways to reasonably seek and receive said treatment. The prospects are exciting, and we will certainly keep you abreast of any progress made. In addition to having doctors join our network building effort, we are also going to provide 2 pair of socks per month, on a bi-weekly schedule, in an effort to help our friends combat the cold season that is now upon us. So we are thankful for that.
Along with the lunches and toiletry bags, aka Blessing Bags, we were able to help many people Saturday, and can’t wait to see them next week. So until that time comes, we will be working diligently this week to stay the course, and grow the project. See you next week in the streets of Vallejo, CA!! ***Please follow us on Facebook & Instagram https://www.facebook.com/MLKHumanityProject/
